“I had a stroke back in 2001 and that pretty much retired me. Since then I’ve had one more. The second one left the left side of my body numb. My left arm is mostly useless, I can’t grip with my hand. My left legs does alright but I still need a cane to get around.”

“Being homeless sucks. It just sucks. I’ve had all my possessions stolen from me a few times.  I’ve come back to my camp on a few occasions to find nothing left. They take everything. I’ve had my diabetes medication stolen twice. I don’t know what they do with that stuff but I promise you I need it more than they do.”
